Customs Clearance and Trading Company

Customs offices are located in all ports and border crossings of a country, whether the merchandise is transported by air, sea or land.

They are strategically located at airports, seaports or land crossings.

Their main function is to assess, classify and control the entry and exit of goods.

They monitor how they are transported and ensure that current regulations are being complied with.

We provide the customs clearance service through our strategic alliance with duly certified customs agents.

Going far, staying close.

Our Services

Strategic Alliance Within a Network of Duly Certified Customs Agents in main ports, airports and border points.

The customs agents with which we work, ensure that the merchandises that are going to cross a border have the correct documentation for the customs crossing process in import and export operations.

They are responsible for making the customs declaration, following local and international regulations.

As your trusted freight forwarder, at SCL, we are your best option to import and export merchandise.

We have alliances with a wide network of duly certified customs agents in the most important international ports, airports and border points.

We know in detail all the steps of the process, so that this mandatory procedure is fulfilled in the simplest and most efficient way.

Tariff Classification (HS Code)

The tariff classification codes were created with aim at simplifying trade and facilitating the import and export of goods.

This code allows to classify all types of merchandise into product groups according to your specifications.

Such number was created by the WTO (World Trade Organization).

Each country assigns the tariffs, documents and requirements necessary to carry out the import and export of said group of goods to each tariff code.

The tariff classification of goods to be transported internationally is the first step in customs clearance of cargo.

Foreign Trade Programs Consulting (IMMEX, classification of entire projects, etc.)
Cargo inspections at origin (Origin Scan)

In order to streamline times efficiency and reduce costs in customs clearance processes, we offer an origin scan inspection service.

This service consists of our team conducting an inspection of the merchandise in the country of origin to determine the nature, net origin, state, quantity, value, tariff classification, taxes and international treatment that must be given when imported and exported.

By doing this inspection in the country of origin, we may to speed up the customs clearance process upon arrival in the destination country, since it will not be necessary to carry out the prior maneuver at the destination port or airport.

This helps us reduce expenses in maneuvers and possible delays and storage.

Trading Company Service

As part of our services, we have a trader service with specific sectoral standards for merchandise (textiles, wine and alcohol, toys, shoes and leather products).

The advantage of importing through our trading company is that we can import the goods requested within the registers, without the need for your company to carry out records, tax obligations or customs procedures for the import and export of products.

We provide tax and legal advice, as well as the management of procedures for compliance with regulations and non-tariff restrictions.

For your company, it is equivalent to making a national sale. We generate a Mexican invoice for the merchandise entering the country, adding the logistics costs involved in our services (merchandise price, customs and import costs).

Our main objective is to make cargo transportation more efficient for SMEs and Large Companies from various industries.
